Privacy policy
We sell rosin. We collect what we need to ship it and answer your questions, and nothing else.

Who we are
050 Rosin USA is the official United States store for 050 Rosin of Groningen, the Netherlands, operated from Chicago, Illinois. Contact: orders@050rosinusa.com.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and the items you bought. Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page; your card number never reaches our server. We receive a confirmation that you paid and the last four digits of the card.
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, the instrument you selected, your message and the IP address the message came from.
- When you browse: standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) held by our hosting provider, SiteGround, and analytics data via Google Analytics (see below). Your cart and your light/dark theme choice are stored in your own browser's local storage and are not sent to us.
How we use it
- To process and ship your order, send you a receipt, and handle returns or problems.
- To answer your questions.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.
Who else sees it
- Stripe processes payments and stores the payment and shipping details you enter at checkout under Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4 collects usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device, and events such as adding to cart or purchasing, with order totals but no names or addresses). Google's use of this data is described in Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- SiteGround hosts the site and the order records.
- Shipping carriers receive your name and address to deliver your order.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors. The site itself sets no cookies; it uses your browser's local storage for the cart and the theme choice, which stays on your device. You can clear either at any time in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes, typically seven years. Contact-form messages are kept until the question is resolved and then for a reasonable period after. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings, currently 14 months.
Your choices
- You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Email orders@050rosinusa.com.
- Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the rights those laws provide, including the right to know, delete and opt out of sale. We don't sell personal information.
- We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Order records are stored outside the web root and are not publicly accessible. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
